Superdao is an all-in-one DAO platform that makes it easy to start and operate decentralized autonomous organizations. Theyโve helped over 1000 DAOs to launch. However, it wasnโt a 100% successful story from the very beginning.ย
The main challenges were:
Fraud, speculations and lack of regulations (Ponzi schemes, zero utility NFTs, gas fees, etc.);
Undeveloped market (lack of best practices, no clear demand โ nobody really understands what theyโre doing);
Poor onboarding (knowledge gap between crypto and non-crypto native users, poor UX design, etc.).
The last problem seems to us the most interesting to discuss, so we asked Gleb Fedorenko, a core product team at Superdao, what methods the company used to solve it.
Here are the main three solutions:
1๏ธโฃ Authorization
After extensive research about the best authorization methods to use, Superdao chose to proceed with a magic link โ a solution that gives users the ability to sign in or sign up with their email, Google account, Twitter, Discord, etc. In that case, the wallet is created in the background, and users can even export their private key and start using the wallet with different platforms.
Results: 60% of all the authorizations are happening via this feature, sign up conversion grew by 2x;
2๏ธโฃ Gas-less experience
Scalability is one of the main hindrances within a decentralized web and has created huge barriers to entry. And at that point, gas fees continue to be a major pain point for newcomers to the Web3 space. So at Superdao they decided to get rid of gas fees and cover them all for their clients.ย
As a result, Superdao users can use the platform to its full extent, without any restrictions (join the community, buy and transfer NFTs, participate in activities, and more). At the end, the barrier to entry got lowered, and the platform became more open to a wider user base.
3๏ธโฃ Extensive knowledge base
Superdao started to create educational content, an extensive knowledge base, that grew with the product.
Nowadays, they have a long-read newsletter, YouTube and social media channels โ thatโs how Superdao helps beginners to learn about Web3, thus onboarding more newcomers into the community and the product.
